The public transportation and the available car parking area during the Royal Cremation Ceremony

The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) is preparing to arrange a total of 46 bus routes to Sanam Luang from 23 to 31 October 2017 to facilitate the travel of the people who wish to attend the Royal Cremation Ceremony for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

 

Out of this number, 25 are for regular buses and 21 for shuttle buses. The regular buses provide services from 04.30 to 24.00 hr. They include the bus numbers 1, 2, 3, 12, 15, 25, 32, 42, 47, 53, 59, 60, 68, 70, 79, 80, 82, 91, 203, 503, 508, 509, 511, 516, and 556. There is no service charge for non-air-conditioned buses. As for air-conditioned buses, the fare will be collected.

 

Shuttle buses will be provided as follows;

1. Future Park Rangsit

2. Muang Thong Thani

3. Royal Police Club

4. Chaeng Watthana Government Complex

5. Megabangna/IKEA

6. BITEC Bang Na

7. Central Westgate

8. Central Salaya

9. Buddhamonthon

10. Central Plaza Rama II

 

Since several roads around Sanam Luang ceremonial ground and adjacent areas will be closed to traffic on 25-26 October, BMTA will pick up and drop off passengers at five spots as follows:

 1. Pak Klong Talat intersection;

2. Arun Amarin intersection;

3. Wisut Kasat intersection;

4. Nang Loeng Race Course;

5. Ban Manangkhasila.

 

Therefore, the car parking area will be provided as follows;

 

1.  State Railway of Thailand Area

·        Sam Sen Railway Station:                20 cars

·        Bang Son Railway Station:               80 cars

·        Don Muang Railway Station:            40 cars

·        Taling Chan Railway Station:            60 cars

·        Bang Bamru Railway Station:           180 cars

·        Sala Thammasop Railway Station:  30 cars

·        Hua Takhe Railway Station:               40 cars

·        Ban Thap Chang Railway Station:    10 cars

·        Hua Mak Railway Station:                   60 cars

 

2.     Port Authority of Thailand Area

·        Around Soonthornkosa Street (Beside BMTA Area 4): 200 cars

·        Around Port authority of Thailand’s building:            515 cars

·        The old warehouse area:                                               450 cars

·        Car parking of PAT’s employee :                                   170 cars

·        Building C area:                                                                700 cars

·        Engineering department area:                                       470 cars

·        PAT Trade Union area:                                                     85 cars
