Since 10 May 2017 marks the Vesak Day, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun will perform a religious ceremony at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Also National Buddhism Week has been launched on 4-10 May at Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok to promote Buddhism among the public.
Because of the Royal Ploughing ceremony on 12 May 2017, the Yen Sira Phro Phra Boriban exhibition to honor the H.M. the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at Sanam Luang will be open from 10.00 to 20.00 hr. Please note that on 12-15 May 2017, the exhibition will be open until 20.00 hr.

Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has granted the people permission to
access the royal area, the Dusit Palace, for participating in activities every
Saturday. On 6 May 2017, the Bureau of the Royal Household's officers will
teach the making of sandalwood flowers at the Sanam Suea Pa Building, free of
charge, at 10:30 a.m. A musical performance to honor the late King Bhumibol
Adulyadej will start at 7:00 p.m. In the event, the King will also distribute
500 sets of offerings to the King Rama V statue. People can receive the
offering set at the tent near Suan Amporn gate.
